Despite Herenton’s re-re-re-re-election,

there is a silver lining. Our ranking dropped (rose?) in the annual Congressional Quarterly Most Dangerous Cities list. Memphis Business Journal is light on statistics, but some poor anonymous staffer tried to transmute a press release into original prose by burying the list worst-of list: “St. Louis ranks second to Detroit in the dangerous cities ranking, followed by Flint, Mich., Oakland, Calif. and Camden, N.J.”
